Суд Стамбула приговорил модель и бывшую мисс Турции 2006 Мерв Баюксарак за стихотворение, оскорбившее президента Т.Эрдогана на 14 месяцев лишения свободы условно, передает УНН со ссылкой на Reuters.

Стамбульский суд признал 27-летнюю модель виновной в оскорблении государственного чиновника, но отложил исполнение приговора при условии, что она не повторит это в течение следующих пяти лет.

Отметим, что оскорбление президента в Турции является преступлением, которое карается до четырех лет тюрьмы.

Закон использовался нечасто, пока Т.Эрдоган не выиграл президентские выборы в августе 2014 года, и с тех пор прокуроры открыли более 1 800 дел за оскорбления в его адрес, в том числе против карикатуристов, журналистов и подростков.

Напомним, модель Мерв Баюксарак была задержана в прошлом году, но сразу ее отпустили за стихотворение на Instagram в 2014 г., где говорилось о коррупции на высоком уровне.
