Мовлення кримськотатарського телеканалу ATR припинили в Криму з ініціативи власника, заявляє глава «Роскомнагляду» Олександр Жаров.

За його словами, засновники каналу подавали документи чотири рази, але щоразу вони «були некомплектними»,повідомляє Радіо Свобода

«Кожен раз це супроводжувалося галасом і піар-кампанією. Припинення мовлення телеканалу відбулося з ініціативи власників, які подали заявку. Ніхто їх вимикати не збирався», – заявив Жаров.

Наразі представники телеканалу ATR не коментували цю заяву.

З 1 квітня телеканал ATR припинив мовлення. До кінця березня йому не вдалося зареєструватися як ЗМІ, згідно з російським законодавством.
Телекомпанія кілька разів подавала документи в «Роскомнагляд», але їх повертали назад з різних причин.

Відразу після припинення мовлення кримськотатарського телеканалу ATR 1 квітня, «влада» анексованого Криму виступила з ініціативою створення громадського кримськотатарського телебачення. Вони вважають, що це сприятиме реалізації права кримських татар на отримання правдивої інформації.
