Учасники акції протесту проти кандидата в президенти США Дональда Трампа в Клівленді, де триває Національний з'їзд Республіканської партії, спробували спалити американський прапор. Про це повідомляє ABC News.

У результаті цього відбулися сутички, поранені двоє поліцейських.

За офіційною інформацією, 18 учасників мітингу були заарештовані, що збільшило кількість затриманих за три дні республіканського з'їзду до 23-х осіб.

"Заворушення між поліцією і протестувальниками почалися після того, як останні намагалися спалити американський прапор. Поліцейські кинулися гасити вогонь", - йдеться в матеріалі.

Демонстрантам було наказано розійтися, але деякі з них відмовилися, що призвело до сутичок.

Більшість демонстрацій відбулося на центральній площі міста, де триває з'їзд.
