Вихід із ладу сайтів британської телерадіомовної корпорації «Бі-бі-сі» 31 грудня в самій організації пояснили хакерською атакою.

Йдеться про так звану DDOS-атаку, коли сайт виводиться з ладу шляхом подачі великої кількості помилкових запитів.

Протягом декількох годин відвідувачі сайтів отримували повідомлення про помилку при завантаженні вмісту сторінки. Спочатку в «Бі-бі-сі» заявляли про технічні неполадки.
