У Словенії у першому турі найбільшу кількість голосів здобув чинний президент Борут Пахор, який отримав 47,1%.

Про це повідомляє Українська правда із посиланням на Reuters 

Один з його найсерйозніших опонентів - колишній комік і мер міста Камнік Мар’ян Сарек - набрав 25% голосів.

Явка склала 43,5% виборців.

Раніше екзит-поли показували перемогу Пахора вже у першому турі з результатом 56,2%.

Як зазначив у коментарі Reuters політолог Борут Хосевар, перемога Пахора була очікуваною.

"Він професіонал, він уникає конфліктів та з повагою ставиться до людей, які мають іншу, ніж в нього, думку", - зазначив він.

Другий тур виборів відбудеться 12 листопада.

Як відомо, посада президента є здебільшого "церемоніальною", однак президент очолює армію, а також призначає кількох високопосадовців, у тому числі главу Центробанку. Більшість його кандидатів має затвердити парламент.

Пахор - колишній лідер лівоцентристських соціал-демократів і був прем'єр-міністром Словенії з 2008 по 2012 рік, у роки, що призвели до найгіршої фінансової кризи в історії країни.

Його передвиборча кампанія включала в себе 25 днів пішого маршруту, за які він пройшов близько 700 кілометрів, проводячи зустрічі з місцевими жителями.

Також Пахор, який колись працював моделлю, відомий своїми фотографіями в Instagram, на яких він демонструє виконання офіційних обов'язків, а також участь у різних спортивних заходах.
