Турецкий лидер Реджеп Эрдоган передал американскому коллеге Дональду Трампу его письма, в том числе и содержащее призыв «не быть жестким парнем и дураком.

Об этом сообщает российское информагентство “ТАСС”.

Турецкий лидер вернул  письма во время встречи с Трампом в Вашингтоне 13 ноября.

“Эти письма я сегодня вернул господину президенту. Я был особенно огорчен письмом, в котором говорилось, что этот террорист Абди Шахин (командующий Силами демократической Сирии Мазлюм Кобани, – ред.) был собеседником такой страны, как Америка. Так называемый Абди Шахин является террористом, который виновен в гибели сотен наших граждан”, – заявил турецкий президент.

Напомним, 9 октября, когда Турция начала силовую операцию на севере Сирии против сирийских курдов,  президент США Дональд Трамп написал письмо президенту Турции Реджепу Тайипу Эрдогану, в котором  призвал его “не быть дураком”.

“Анкара, безусловно, учитывает фактор письма Трампа в мой адрес. Однако уровень сотрудничества между Турцией и США требует от нас не акцентировать внимание при каждой возможности на этом письме, текст которого далек от норм политики и дипломатии. Это не наш сегодняшний приоритет. Но Турция в свое время однозначно ответит Вашингтону”, — отреагировал тогда турецкий лидер.
