Американська газета The New York Times заявила, що відкидає претензії кандидата в президенти США Дональда Трампа в наклепі і не буде спростовувати свій матеріал, в якому дві жінки розповіли про домагання до них з боку Трампа.

Про це в листі адвоката Трампа заявив віце-президент і заступник головного юриста NYT Девід Мак Кроу, передає Reuters.

"Ніщо в нашій статті не мало ні найменшого впливу на репутацію, яку пан Трамп своїми словами і діями сам собі створив", — написав Мак Кроу.

Він додав, що якщо Трамп продовжить наполягати на тому, що стаття була наклепницькою, то газета "вітати можливість через суд його переконати".

Раніше повідомлялося, що кандидат в президенти США від Республіканської партії Дональд Трамп назвав заяви кількох жінок, які звинуватили його в сексуальних домаганнях, "відвертою брехнею".

У виборчому штабі Трампа заявили, що звинувачення в сексуальних домаганнях на його адресу безпідставні.

Нагадаємо, в США дві жінки заявили про сексуальної агресії з боку Дональда Трампа по відношенню до них.
