Первый эпизод четвертого сезона сериала "Шерлок" стал одним из самых популярных у телезрителей Великобритании в новогоднюю ночь, пишет The Guardian.

По данным издания, первую серию четвертого сезона посмотрели 8,1 млн зрителей, что составило чуть менее трети (32,8%) зрительской аудитории Великобритании.

Примечательно, что рождественское обращение королевы Англии Елизаветы II, для сравнения, собрало всего 7,7 млн просмотров.

Трансляция сериала стала второй по популярности в праздничном телеэфире в канун Нового года, уступив только торжественному обратному отсчету и показу фейерверков, который набрал 11,6 млн зрителей.

Отмечается, что предыдущий новогодний эпизод "Шерлока" "Безобразная невеста", который был показан в 2016 году, собрал 8,4 млн зрителей.
