Республіканець Дональд Трамп не буде президентом США, бо це "серйозна робота", заявив чинний американський лідер Барак Обама, пише ВВС

"Я продовжую вірити, що пан Трамп не буде президентом. І причина в тому, що я вірю в американський народ", - заявив пан Обама, відповідаючи на запитання журналістів на економічному саміті країн АСЕАН у Каліфорнії.

За словами Барака Обами, люди не оберуть Дональда Трампа, бо "вони розуміють, що бути президентом - серйозна робота".

"Це не виступи на ток-шоу чи реаліті-шоу, це не кампанія із просування, не маркетинг. Це важко. Це не означає робити все, що допоможе тобі потрапити у сьогоднішні новини", - додав американський президент.

Дональд Трамп уже відповів на заяви пана Обами, заявивши, що вважає компліментом критику того, хто, за його словами, завдав таких збитків країні.

Антипатія між Дональдом Трампом та Бараком Обамою триває уже не один рік. Раніше бізнесмен Трамп вимагав від пана Обами, аби той довів, що народився у США.

Нині пана Трампа вважають одним із фаворитів передвиборних перегонів серед кандидатів від Республіканської партії.

Він уже здобув перемогу у праймаріз, що пройшли у північно-східному штаті Нью-Гемпшир, обігнавши найближчих конкурентів - губернатора Огайо Джона Касіча, губернатора Флориди й брата екс-президента Джеба Буша, техаського сенатора Теда Круза і флоридського сенатора Марка Рубіо.

Водночас Дональд Трамп поступився Тедові Крузу у внутрішньопартійному голосуванні в Айові.

Цієї суботи вибори кандидатів від Республіканської й Демократичної партій пройдуть у штаті Невада.

Вибори президента США відбудуться 8 листопада 2016 року.
