У своїй статті Херш викриває різні аспекти зовнішньої політики Штатів, зокрема у тому, що при участі в міжнародних операціях Америка завжди намагається показати свою виключну і домінуючу позицію, пише Daily Mail,передає ТСН

Втім, за даними журналіста, у знищенні бен Ладена величезну роль зіграли спецслужби Пакистану, на території якого знищили терориста. Зокрема, повідомляє Херш, саме пакистанські офіційні особи дізнались і повідомили місце знаходження "терориста номер один".

Крім того, як каже журналіст, не було ніякої перестрілки під час рейду американських "морських котиків", єдині постріли були випущені лише в Усаму бен Ладена. На момент вбивства бен Ладен вже був виключений з терористичної Аль-Каїди і не мав впливу на дії екстремістів. Поховали терориста не "у морі", а в Афганістані.

Наостанок, пише Херш, Обама порушив домовленості з урядом Пакистану про нерозголошення інформації про вбивство бен Ладена протягом семи днів, це призвело до погіршення дипломатичних зв'язків між країнами.
