Папа Римський Франциск зізнався, що у віці 42 років звертався за допомогою до психотерапевта. Про це понтифік розповів в інтерв'ю французькому соціологу Домініку Волтону, повідомляє La Stampa.

"Я консультувався у єврейського психоаналітика. Ходив до нього раз на тиждень протягом шести місяців, щоб прояснити деякі речі. Він був дуже хорошою людиною і багато в чому допоміг мені", - сказав він.

Папа підкреслив, що психоаналітик жодного разу не відмовив йому у своїх послугах, а перед смертю захотів зустрітися для останньої "духовної бесіди".

При цьому наголошується, що інтерв'ю з понтифіком Волтон провів для написання книги "Політика і суспільство". Передбачається, що вона вийде 6 вересня. В ній будуть 12 бесід з Папою на різні теми: від міграційної кризи в Європі і релігійних догматів до особистого життя Франциска.
