Парламент Косово в пятницу вечером все же выбрал президента, несмотря на то, что заседание ранее прервала оппозиция.

Депутаты избрали президентом действующего министра иностранных дел Хашима Тачи, против избрания которого выступала оппозиция.

 

Тачи был избран президентом с третьей попытки простым большинством.

Хашим Тачи был партизанским лидером во время конфликта, который привел к провозглашению независимости преимущественно албанского Косово от Сербии.

"Я обещаю построить новое Косово, европейское Косово и углубить наши отношения с США", сказал новый президент после голосования в пятницу.

Хашим Тачи, который также был премьер-министром – получил неодобрение оппозиции за его роль в переговорах с Сербией, которые привели к сделке, которая дала больше автономии для национальных меньшинств косовских сербов.

Ранее сообщалось, что дебаты в парламенте Косово относительно избрания президента были нарушены, потому что оппозиция раскрыла три канистры со слезоточивым газом, из-за чего депутаты покинули зал.

Сообщалось, что нарушителей отстранили от участия в заседаниях, одного депутата забрала полиция.
