Депутаты нижней палаты парламента Таджикистана единогласно одобрили изменения и дополнения в действующую конституцию страны, которые позволяют действующему президенту Эмомали Рахмону переизбираться неограниченное количество раз, сообщает ТАСС.

Отмечается, что депутаты направили текст нового законопроекта на экспертизу в конституционный суд страны, после чего будет определена дата всенародного референдума о поправках в основной закон республики.

Ранее сообщалось, что парламент Таджикистана обсуждает поправки к конституции страны, в которых предлагается закрепить за нынешним президентом Эмомали Рахмоном пост главы государства пожизненно.

Если дополнение будет утверждено, Рахмон сможет выдвинуть свою кандидатуру на предстоящих президентских выборах в 2020 году.
