Консервативна партія Британії, яку очолює прем’єр-міністр Тереза Мей, ризикує втратити абсолютну більшість місць в парламенті після національних виборах.

Про це повідомляє The Times із посиланням на опитування компанії YouGov, пише Європейська правда

Результати засвідчили, що консерватори можуть втратити 20 місць з 330, які вони мають зараз, натомість опозиційна Лейбористська партія може отримати близько 30 місць.

Якщо ці прогнози справдяться, то консерваторам не вистачатиме 16 місць для загальної більшості, яка має складатися щонайменше з 326 депутатів. В іншому випадку доведеться об’єднуватися з іншими партіями.

Позачергові парламентські вибори у Британії відбудуться 8 червня. Після визначення їхніх результатів нарешті має початися процес переговорів про вихід країни з ЄС.
