Посол США Джеффри Пайетт предложил Украине бороться с влиянием российской пропаганды экономическим развитием и реальной борьбой с коррупцией.

Данное заявление распространила пресс-служба посольства США.

"Самая большая ошибка украинского правительства, украинского народа - создавать "фабрику троллей" наподобие той, которая находится в Санкт-Петербурге, для штампования контрпропаганды в соцсетях. Огромная ошибка - создавать "Министерство правды", которое пытается генерировать альтернативные истории. Это не способ выиграть информационную войну", - считает посол.

"Самая большая ошибка, которую может допустить Украина - использовать все время и все усилия, чтобы опровергнуть всю эту ложь. Это все равно, что потратить весь запас воздуха на слова "Здесь нет фашистов! О чем вы?" Вот, чего хочет Россия", - сказал он.

По словам Пайетта, единственным "оружием" Украины в гибридной войне должно стать успешное развитие.

"Фактически Украина не нуждается в медиа, которые финансируются государством. В чем Украина нуждается – это успешная Украина", – заявил он.

Пайетт также подчеркнул, что "приоритетом номер один" для Украины в 2016 году должна стать успешная борьба с коррупцией.

"Это ключевой вопрос для демонстрации того, что Украина движется вперед", - заявил посол.

Пайетт отметил, что США решительно поддерживают Национальное антикоррупционное бюро Украины.
