Социальная сеть Facebook закрыла около 30 000 фальшивых аккаунтов, которые распространяли фейковые новости накануне президентских выборов во Франции. Об этом сообщает Зеркало недели со ссилкой на Huffington Post.

Отмечается, что Facebook применяет автоматизированные механизмы для отсеивания фейков, фиксируя их повторения на сотнях фальшивых сайтов.

«Хотя эти последние усовершенствования не приведут к удалению каждого фейкового аккаунта, мы стремимся к постоянному повышению нашей результативности», — сообщил технический менеджер Facebook Шабнем Шайк.

Утверждается, что компания работает над разработкой рекламных объявлений с инструкциями определения ненадежных сайтов.

Сообщалось, Facebook запустил специальное приложение, которое позволит избирателям находить местных и федеральных чиновников и следить за их работой.
