У жовтні в прямому ефірі Першого національного відбудуться дебати між представниками політичних партій-кандидатів на виборах до Верховної Ради 2014 року. Про це йдеться у відео анонсі телеканалу на YouTube.

«Це будуть парламентські дебати. Якщо там фігури всі відомі, то тут я дуже сподіваюсь на те, що будуть нові фігури, яких вони витиснуть на ці сцену, і вони стануть відомі. І ми почуємо, які команди працюють на цих людей, бо постійно (виступають по ТБ.- ТК) - тільки фронтмени, а що за ними стоїть - ніхто не знає. І от почуємо відповіді, ґрунтовні відповіді, я сподіваюсь, на те, про що люди хочуть знати. Там будуть не тільки фронтмени, а і друга, третя і ще якась фігура. Ми їм дозволяємо приводити ще трьох людей, які будуть відповідати на питання. Тоді й побачимо, чи є просто лідер, який бла-бла-бла, чи в нього ще хтось є», - сказав генеральний директор Національної телекомпанії України (НТКУ) Зураб Аласанія.
