Електронну петицію про скорочення кількості депутатів Верховної Ради з нинішніх 450 до 100 осіб підтримали понад 25 тис. громадян, чого достатньо для розгляду клопотання главою держави Петром Порошенком.

На думку авторів клопотання, число членів українського парламенту є «спадщиною радянської окупації».

«Заради економії коштів та зменшення тягаря для українців просимо зменшити чисельність найнятих менеджерів, депутатів - утриманців платників податків - до 100 осіб. Скорочення надмірної кількості чиновництва варто було б почати саме з зменшення їх кількості як мінімум до 100», - йдеться в тексті клопотання.
