Після референдуму в Нідерландах щодо Угоди про асоціацію, ЄС потрібно боротися за "цивілізаційний проект Європа".

Таку думку висловив президент Європарламенту Мартін Шульц в інтерв'ю Funke Mediengruppe, передає All-in.de.

"Тепер ми повинні розпочати боротьбу за Європейський проект", - наголосив він.

"Аргументи, які використовувалися табором "проти" (асоціації  -Ред.), стосувалися багато чого, але тільки не власне питання змісту Угоди", - наголосив президент Європарламенту.

"Угода про асоціацію - важливий елемент відновлення миру в регіоні, який так сильно постраждав від агресії та війни",  -відзначив він.

"Цинічно, що зараз результату референдуму радіють ті, хто зробив великий внесок у кризу в Україні", - наголосив Шульц.

Як повідомлялося, за попередніми результатами 61,1% тих, хто взяли участь у референдумі у Нідерландах 6 квітня, проголосували проти Угоди про асоціацію між Україною та ЄС.

Прем'єр-міністр Нідерландів Марк Рютте заявив, що його країна не може продовжити ратифікацію Угоди про асоціацію між Україною та ЄС за умови, коли значна більшість нідерландців проголосувала проти документа.
