Семюель Ірвінг Ньюхаус (Samuel Irving Newhouse), відомий як Сі Ньюхаус, помер у віці 89 років.
 

Йому належали The New Yorker, Vogue, Vanity Fair, Architectural Digest і ряд інших журналів.  Як пише Media Sapiens із посиланням на The New York Times, Сі Ньюхаус (S.I. Newhouse) помер у власному домі. Причина смерті поки не повідомляється.

Семюель та його молодший брат Дональд отримали видавничий бізнес у спадок від свого батька й перетворили його в один з найуспішніших у США. Сімейні статки Ньюхаусів оцінюються в понад 12 мільярдів доларів.

Сі Ньюхаус очолював видавничий дім Condé Nast й під його керівництвом були придбані в 1985 році видання Vogue, The New Yorker й відновлено друк журналу Vanity Fair, який перестав виходити в 1936 році. «Його журнали стали важливою частиною тієї культури, яку вони висвітлюють», - зазначає The New York Times.
