Президент України Петро Порошенко заявляє про необхідність створення транс-європейського російськомовного каналу мовлення.

«Нам нагально необхідно зараз створити транс-європейський російськомовний канал мовлення. Я запропонував, і розраховую на Вашу підтримку, щоб ми поширили його на Литву. У вас є російськомовна аудиторія, ми готові направити найкращих журналістів, можемо створити умови. Важливо, щоб у Литві розуміли, що відбувається, важливо доносити альтернативну позицію», – заявив Порошенко у суботу, 21 березня, під час зустрічі з президентом Литви Далею Грітеускайте.

Грібаускайте наголосила, що Європейська рада ухвалила рішення щодо протидії дезінформації, а Єврокомісії доручили підготувати пропозиції.

«Ми готові до спільної відповіді з боку Євросоюзу, але ще слід обговорити конкретні пропозиції. Ми відкриті до будь-яких ідей», – наголосила Грібаускайте.

На саміті Євросоюзу, який проходив 19-20 березня у Брюсселі, лідери ЄС ухвалили рішення щодо необхідності боротьби з російськими кампаніями дезінформації. Першим кроком має стати скликання у Брюсселі експертної групи, яка має дати оцінку російським ЗМІ.

Україна та деякі країни ЄС звинувачувати Росію у веденні проти них «інформаційної війни».
