Президент України підписав Закон України № 873-VІІІ Про внесення змін до Закону України "Про комітети Верховної Ради України" щодо доступу засобів масової інформації до засідань комітетів Верховної Ради України».

Глава держави прийняв таке рішення з метою створення належних умов для роботи представників засобів масової інформації під час відкритих засідань комітетів Верховної Ради України; забезпечення дотримання принципів гласності та відкритості у діяльності цих комітетів та удосконалення Закону України «Про комітети Верховної Ради України» та приведення у відповідність до норм інших законів України.
