Президент, Верховний Головнокомандувач Збройних сил України Петро Порошенко здійснив переліт на бойовому винищувачі Міг-29 40-ї бригади тактичної авіації на місці другого пілоту з аеродрому бригади у місті Васильків до військового аеродрому у селі Гавришівка, Вінницької області. Про це інформує прес-служба Глави держави.

Після прибуття Президент привітав особовий склад військових льотчиків з Днем Повітряних сил Збройних сил України, вручив високі державні нагороди бойовим льотчикам та передав бойові прапори органам військового управління Повітряних сил ЗСУ.

З нагоди Дня Повітряних сил Збройних сил України Президент вручив бойові прапори органам військового управління Військово-повітряних сил Збройних сил України: бойовий прапор Командування повітряних сил ЗСУ та чотири бойові прапори регіональних повітряних командувань. 

Главі держави також були продемонстровані показові прольоти військових літаків Повітряних сил Збройних сил України та виконання навчально-тренувальних вправ парашутистами.

Польоти продемонтрували пара військово-транспортних літаків АН-26 зі складу 456-ї бригади, 3 навчально-бойові літаки Л-39 зі складу 39-ї окремої авіаційної ескадрильї, літак бомбардувальної авіації СУ-24М зі складу 7-ї бригади тактичної авіації імені Петра Франка, два багатоцільових винищувачі МІГ-29 зі складу 40-ї бригади тактичної авіації, військово-транспортний літак ІЛ-76МД у супроводі 2-х винищувачів-перехоплювачів СУ-27 зі складу 3-ї окремої аваційної ескадрільї 125-ї бригади транспортної авіації. Парашутисти виконали навчально-тренувальні вправи.

Президент також оглянув зразки бойової техніки Повітряних сил Збройних сил України.
