Посол США в Украине Джеффри Пайетт прокомментировал скандал вокруг проведения Фестиваля равенства во Львове.

"Плохая новость, что Фестиваль равенства во Львове не смог состояться из-за насильственных протестов", - написал Пайетт у себя в Twitter.

По его мнению, "проявления нетерпимости во Львове противоречат европейскому будущему, ради которого украинцы так много пожертвовали".

Как сообщалось, во Львове суд запретил проведение любых акций 19 марта, среди которых был и ЛГБТ-фестиваль.

Однако представители ЛГБТ-сообщества днем все-таки собрались в здании отеля Днистер, где должны были проходить мероприятия в рамках Фестиваля равенства. Около 300 молодых людей, сторонников праворадикальных организаций, заблокировали участников акции.

Когда участники ЛГБТ-фестиваля начали покидать здание, собравшиеся под зданием отеля радикалы начали бросать камни и взрывпакеты им вслед.
