В Австралії триває дводенний саміт "Великої двадцятки". Президента Росії Володимира Путіна там не дуже раді бачити та влаштували йому політичний бойкот – світові лідери відмовляються з ним вітатися, а демонстранти вимагають від нього забиратися геть з Австралії.

Зокрема, Путін отримав грубу відповідь, коли підійшов потиснути руку прем'єрові Канади Стівену Харперу. Про це пише ТСН

"Гадаю, я мушу потиснути вашу руку. Але я повинен вам сказали лише одне: забирайтеся з України", - цитує слова Харпера до Путіна прес-секретар прем'єра Канади Джейсон Макдональд.

Відповідь Путіна на коментар не була позитивною, уточнив Макдональд, не вдаючись у подробиці.

Натомість прем'єр Австралії Тоні Ебботт потис руку Путіну та посміхнувся перед телекамерами. А вже потім із трибуни "відчихвостив" президента Росії. Зокрема, звинуватив Кремль у тому, що Росія постачає бойовикам на Донбас зброю. А саме з цієї зброї терористи 17 липня цього року збили малайзійський літак Boeing, на якому загинули 298 людей і серед яких були австралійці. Ебботт закликав Путіна припинити поставки зброї та найманців на Східну Україну.
