Второй тур запланирован на 11 января 2015 года. Для победы в первом туре одному из кандидатов нужно было набрать более 50% плюс один голос. Явка превысила 47%, передает Еспресо.TV.

Первый тур президентских выборов в Хорватии не выявил победителя. После обработки 99,87% бюллетеней нынешний глава государства Иво Йосипович получил 38,49% голосов, а его ближайший соперник, представитель правоцентристской партии "Хорватское демократическое содружество" Колинда Грабарь-Китарович - 37,18%.

Всего на пост президента баллотировались четыре кандидата. Кроме Иво Йосиповича и Колинда Грабарь-Китарович, которая ранее была министром иностранных дел Хорватии, за высший государственный пост также боролись гражданский активист Иван Синчич, председатель правоцентристской партии "Хорватськbq рассвет" Милан Куюнджич. За них проголосовали 16,43% и 6,30% избирателей соответственно. Еще 1,56% бюллетеней признали недействительными.

Иво Йосипович назвал себя победителем первого тура, заявив, что выиграет и во втором туре. Колинда Грабарь-Китарович, со своей стороны, отметила, что "ее результат является лишь началом" и "работа только начинается".

Нынешние президентские выборы стали шестыми в истории Хорватии, которая провозгласила независимость в 1991 году. Кроме того, это первые президентские выборы после вступления страны в Евросоюз в 2013 году. Правом голоса обладают 3,77 млн совершеннолетних граждан страны.
