Президент Литви Даля Грибаускайте звернулася до українського народу у зв'язку з провальними результатами референдуму щодо Угоди про асоціацію в Нідерландах.

Звернення "Європейській правді" передало МЗС Литви.

"Сьогодні ми почули про результати референдуму в Нідерландах. Ми всі б хотіли, щоб вони були іншими. Проте зараз не час втрачати надію чи ставити під питання європейський вибір України", - зауважила Грибаускайте.

"Ніхто не може стояти на шляху України до Європи, тому що Україна завжди була в Європі і завжди там залишатиметься",  - наголосила вона.

"Положення угоди про вільну торгівлю де факто вже вступили в силу. Процес інтеграції може забрати більше часу, ніж ми думали. Проте кінцевий результат зрозумілий, він був визначений на Майдані", - підкреслила литовський президент.

"Немає сумнівів, що майбутнє України в руках кожного українця.. Сьогодні маємо стати більш об’єднаними та рішучими, готовими до реформ, інтеграції та нової європейської України", - відзначила Грибаускайте.

"Литва та вся Європа будуть на вашій стороні. Слава Україні"" - сказала вона.
