Президент Польщі Анджей Дуда підписав карту донора і закликав поляків вступити також.

"Висловлюю свою згоду на те, щоб у разі моєї смерті мої органи були пожертвувані", - сказав президент Польщі Анджей Дуда на ХІІ симпозіумі Польського трансплантаційного суспільства в п'ятницю 22 січня. Про це повідомляє Радіо Польща.

Польський президент закликав поляків послідувати його прикладу і підписати карту донора. "Це буде підтримка для польської трансплантології. Йдеться про те, щоб відповісти собі на питання, чи готові ви прийняти, що ми не живемо і не вмираємо самі для себе", - заявив він.

XII симпозіум Польського трансплантаційного суспільства відбувся з нагоди 50-річчя першої успішної операції з пересадки нирки у Польщі, яка відбулася 26 січня 1966 року і стала початком ери трансплантології органів в Польщі.
