На форуме Bloomberg Global Business Биллу Гейтсу пришлось извиняться за не слишком удобную комбинацию клавиш перезагрузки системы.

Во время форума основатель и генеральный директор Carlyle Group Дэвид Рубенштейн попросил основателя Microsoft Билла Гейтса объяснить одну из самых странных функций операционной системы Windows, пишет Новое время со ссилкой на Fudzilla. 

"Почему в Windows для входа и блокировки нужно использовать три пальца и считаете ли вы эту идею удачной", - спросил Рубинштейн.

Гейтс извинился и заявил: "Очевидно, что участвующие в разработке люди должны были назначить это действие на другую кнопку". Однако Рубинштейн попросил от бывшего главы Microsoft более подробных объяснений.

"Вы не можете вернуться и изменить мелочи в своей жизни, не подвергая другие вещи опасности. Конечно, если бы я мог внести небольшое редактирование, я бы сделал эту операцию по нажатию одной кнопки", — ответил Билл Гейтс.

Несколько лет назад Билл Гейтс рассказывал, что изначально планировалось назначить функцию входа в систему на одну отдельную клавишу. Но инженеры IBM, проектировавшие клавиатуру для IBM PC, отказались выполнять это требование и придумали комбинацию клавиш Ctrl+Alt+Delete.
