Facebook нагадав американцям про можливість онлайн-реєстрації на виборах президента.

Онлайн-реєстрація виборців на виборах президента США працює краще, ніж прогнозувалося. Всього за чотири дні після старту рекламної кампанії на Facebook, в ході якої соцмережа посилала користувачам короткі нагадування, стався сплеск реєстрацій виборців, пише Новое время.

За даними Центру виборчих досліджень США, показники зросли в деяких районах в 20 разів, додаючи до списків десятки тисяч виборців.

Багато хто з зареєстрованих досить молоді, для них це перші вибори. New York Times зазначає, що 24% реєстрацій в Каліфорнії в цей період становили люди віком від 17 до 25 років, а ще 30% - виборці у віці від 25 до 30 років.

Ці цифри не такі вже й вражаючі, якщо врахувати, що ці вибори - перші для цілого покоління молодих людей, які по суті зросли на Facebook. Багато хто з них довідаються з соцети не тільки дані про процедуру голосування, але і взагалі багато новин. Питання в тому, чи матиме кампанія Facebook значний вплив на результат виборів.
