У Венесуелі в суботу, 6 травня, опозиція організувала мітинг жінок проти репресій та застосування сили, повідомляє Новое время з посиланням на AFP.

У низці великих міст країни тисячі жінок вийшли на вулиці, тримаючи в руках квіти і плакати з написами, що закликають відмовитися від політичних репресій і насильства. Учасниці мітингів також співали гімн країни.

У Сан-Крістобалі і Арагуа поліція застосувала сльозогінний газ проти жінок. Ближче до ночі на околиці столиці в деяких інших містах мирна демонстрація обернулася заворушеннями і сутичками з поліцією.

З початку квітня у Венесуелі практично щодня відбуваються акції протесту проти нинішньої влади. За останніми даними, за цей час число жертв демонстрацій склало не менше 37 осіб, понад 700 отримали поранення. Також в ході демонстрацій поліція затримала понад 1 тис. осіб, що виступають на стороні опозиції.
