У США три користувача Facebook Messenger подали позов до компанії з-за витоку даних 50 мільйонів чоловік, включаючи списки друзів і телефонних контактів.
 

Як пише Еспресо.ТВ із посиланням на Reuters, вони звинуватили компанію в порушенні конфіденційності даних і читанні особистого листування в месенджері.

У суді штату Каліфорнія підтвердили надходження колективного позову, але не розкрили подробиці. До них можуть приєднатися інші постраждалі від витоку. Користувачі вимагають компенсації за завдану шкоду, не називаючи конкретної суми. Представники Facebook поки не давали коментарів про це.

Раніше на Facebook вже подав до суду один з акціонерів, який поскаржився на зниження акцій компанії на тлі скандалу. Також Федеральна торгова комісія США почала розслідування проти соцмережі з метою з'ясувати, які заходи вона використовувала для захисту особистих даних. Facebook можуть оштрафувати на 40 тисяч доларів за кожне порушення.

До того ж до того, що соцмережа вже визнала витік даних і вибачилася, розробник з Нової Зеландії виявив, що Facebook стежив за дзвінками і SMS користувачів на Android.
