Президент Росії Володимир Путін пропонував екс-прем'єру Італії Сільвіо Берлусконі громадянство РФ та посаду міністра.

Про це Берлусконі заявив у вівторок під час вечері своїм однопартійцям, повідомляє італійське видання La Stampa, пише Європейська правда

Як пише італійська газета, екс-прем'єр був не в гуморі та скаржився членам партії "Вперед, Італія" на нескінченні проблеми з судовою системою.

"В Італії мене відсунули на узбіччя (політичного життя. - Ред.). А Путін пропонував мені російське громадянство та посаду міністра економіки", - заявив Берлусконі однопартійцям.

Деталей того, коли саме та за яких умов відбулася розмова з президентом РФ, екс-прем'єр Італії не розкрив.

Водночас видання не виключає, що заява могла бути одним із численних жартів Берлусконі, який здавна славиться своїм почуттям гумору.

Пізніше, прес-секретар президента РФ Володимира Путіна спростовав повідомлення італійських ЗМІ.

"Як відомо, у Путіна з Берлусконі віддавна дружні стосунки. Вони приятелюють, і це дійсно товариські стосунки. І в цьому випадку мається на увазі образна підтримка Берлусконі. І це треба сприймати саме як моральну підтримку, а не як формальну пропозицію посісти якусь офіційну посаду у Росії, що, звісно ж, є неможливим", - сказав представник глави РФ Дмитро Пєсков.

"Володимир Путін ніколи не приховував своїх стосунків з Берлусконі і своєї до нього приязні", - зазначив співрозмовник агентства.
