В докладе председателя британского разбирательства по делу об убийстве экс-офицера ФСБ Александра Литвиненко упоминается имя президента России Владимира Путина, пишет газета The Times, передает Новое время

"Степень его предполагаемой причастности к одному из самых спорных и угрожающем дипломатии убийств на британской земле останется неясной, но одно упоминание его имени повысит напряжение между Москвой и Лондоном", - пишет издание.

Документ, подготовленный сэром Робертом Оуэном, должен быть представлен в четверг, 21 января.

По информации источников газеты, главными подозреваемыми будут названы депутат Госдумы РФ Андрей Луговой и предприниматель Дмитрий Ковтун.

В материале отмечается, что если Путина назовут причастным к гибели Литвиненко, то в адрес премьер-министра Великобритании Дэвида Кэмерона прозвучат призывы ввести дополнительные санкции в отношении России.

Напомним, ранее представляющий британское следствие в деле об убийстве Александра Литвиненко юрист Ричард Хоруэлл обвинил российские власти в причастности к отравлению полонием бывшего сотрудника ФСБ.

Бывший сотрудник ФСБ РФ Александр Литвиненко был отравлен радиоактивным полонием-210 1 ноября 2006 года и умер в больнице спустя три недели.
