Верховная Рада ликвидировала Национальную экспертную комиссию по вопросам защиты общественной морали в силу неэффективности данного органа.

За данный законопроект (№1647) проголосовали 245 народных депутатов при 226 минимально необходимых,пишет Цензор.НЕТ

Национальная экспертная комиссия по вопросам защиты общественной морали была создана постановлением Кабинета министров Украины от 17 ноября 2004 года.

Деятельность и сам факт существования такого органа как Комиссия по защите морали неоднократно критиковались как журналистским сообществом, так и деятелями культуры. В частности, против НЭК выступили Олесь Ульяненко, Юрий Андрухович, Сергей Жадан. НЭК неоднократно обвиняли в попытках осуществлять художественную и политическую цензуру
