Американская компания Apple также засветилась в документах журналистского расследования "Райские документы" (Paradise Papers)

Об этом говорится в новых материалах расследования, передает Новое время

В расследовании отмечается, что компания несколько лет подряд не платила миллиарды налогов за счет некоторых особенностей законодательства. Так, в 2014 году компания использовала лазейку в налоговом законодательстве США и Ирландии, которая называется double Irish. Это позволило Apple осуществлять продажи за пределами Северной и Южной Америки через ирландские филиалы и таким образом не платить налоги. 

Кроме этого, установлено, что схема double Irish позволила Apple снизить ставку налога на прибыль за пределами США настолько, что ее иностранные налоговые платежи редко составляли более 5% ее зарубежных прибылей, а потом вообще опустились ниже 2%.

Напомним, репортеры, входящие в Международный консорциум журналистских расследований, раскрыли новые схемы уклонения от уплаты налогов высокопоставленных политиков, изучив около 13,4 миллиона секретных документов. Результаты расследования, получивший название "Райские документы", были опубликованы 5 ноября.

В этих документах упоминаются имена более 120 политиков из почти 50 стран мира, а также предприятия, спортсмены, бизнесмены и другие высокопоставленные лица.
