Річ у тім, що наглядовому відомству з рекламних стандартів (ASA) вії знаменитої красуні здалися надто підозрілими. Мовляв, у макіяжі Кари "використані техніки, які перебільшують ефект".

У ролику закадровий голос говорить: "Rimmel представляє нову туш Scandaleyes Reloaded на Карі Делевінь. Небезпечно розкішні вії. Нова максимально ефективна щіточка для вій без грудочок і склеювання. Граничний обсяг - гранична стійкість".

Експерти ASA вважають, що під час монтажу і пост-продакшні ролика вії все ж були подовжені і ущільнені, що могло б ввести покупців в оману.

Своєю чергою, компанія-власник бренду Rimmel - Coty UK відповіла, що під час знімань ролика використовувалися накладні вії (але не комп'ютерні технології), щоб заповнити прогалини і створити "єдину лінію вій", як це зазвичай робиться в б'юті-галузі.

Проте британське управління рекламних стандартів все ж наполягло на тому, щоб рекламу прибрали з ресурсів і не показували її "в існуючому вигляді".
