Рівно рік тому, 25 травня, в Україні проходили позачергові вибори президента, на яких у першому турі переміг Петро Порошенко.

Вибори президента України пройшли без серйозних порушень.

Петру Порошенку, який став п'ятим президентом України, віддали свої голоси майже 10 мільйонів українських виборців (54,70%), виділивши його серед 23 кандидатів у виборчому бюлетені при явці 59,48%.

Вибори були призначені рішенням Верховної Ради 22 лютого 2014 року, після втечі Януковича і відсторонення Радою його від посади президента.
