Отримавши від Генпрокуратури вимогу про негайне блокування закликів до «масових заворушень, екстремістської діяльності чи недозволених заходів», працівники наглядового органу шукатимуть та блокуватимуть копії цієї інформації у мережі. Така процедура набере чинності в разі прийняття відповідного наказу.

Нині, згідно з російським законом «Про інформацію, інформаційні технології та захист інформації», генпрокурор РФ чи його заступник, знайшовши заборонену інформацію, вимагає від Роскомнагляду негайно заблокувати певну сторінку веб-сайту.

За словами офіційного представника контролюючого органу, Генпрокуратура і раніше видавала їм приписи блокувати не лише сторінку сайту із забороненою інформацією, але й її копії. Тепер блокування копій стане обов’язковою процедурою.
