Посол России в Индии Александр Кадакин скончался в Нью-Дели.

Об этом сообщает Апостроф со ссилкой на российское информагентство РИА Новости.

Ему было 68 лет, он скончался в результате болезни.

"Посольство РФ в республике Индия с глубоким прискорбием извещает, что 26 января после непродолжительной болезни в одной из центральных больниц Нью-Дели скончался чрезвычайный и полномочный посол России в Индии А.М. Кадакин. На посту главы российской дипломатической миссии он работал с ноября 2009 года. Вся дипломатическая карьера А.М. Кадакина с 1971 года была тесно связана с развитием российско-индийских отношений", — сообщили в посольстве.

Представитель российского МИДа Мария Захарова заявила, что это огромная потеря.

"У нас огромная потеря... Уникальный, выдающийся, легендарный — все про него", — написала она на своей странице в Facebook.
