Южно-корейская компания Samsung может запустить собственную социальную сеть Waffle, говорится в сообщении компании.

Пользователи новой соцсети смогут создавать совместные коллажи, добавляя к уже загруженным друзьями изображениям свои фотографии, рисунки и подписи. В результате контент в сервисе будет представлен в виде "коллективного граффити", которое по виду напоминает вафли, что соответствует названию сервиса, уточнили в Samsung.

Waffle является разработкой подразделения Samsung под названием C-Lab (разрабатывает и тестирует новые сервисы). Она была представлена на американском медиа-фестивале SXSW 2016, пишет ТАСС

В настоящее время приложение еще находится в разработке, beta-версия доступна для устройств на операционной системе Android.

Samsung может летом 2016 г. закрыть данный проект, если он не оправдает ожидания, сообщил американский сайт the Verge со ссылкой на представителя компании. В случае позитивного развития событий будет запущен полноценный мобильный сервис как на Android, так и на iOS.

Сейчас на рынке уже существуют социальные сети, главным контентом которых являются фотографии пользователей, среди них - Instagram и Snapchat.
