Номінований Дональдом Трампом бізнесмен Рекс Тіллерсон може не отримати підтримку в Сенаті США під час процедури його затвердження на посаді.

Про це заявив офіційний представник Державного департаменту США Джон Кірбі під час щоденного брифінгу, передає Укрінформ.

"Моє занепокоєння відверто полягає в тому, щоб пан Тіллерсон і його команда отримали підтримку, яку вони потребують під час процесу затвердження. Це єдине має занепокоєння", - зазначив речник зовнішньополітичного відомства США у відповідь, чи не стурбований Держдеп російськими зв'язками бізнесмена, який претендує на посаду Держсекретаря США.

Водночас, Кірбі нагадав, що Джон Керрі привітав Тіллерсона з номінацією та висловив готовність забезпечити плавну передачу повноважень.

Як повідомлялося, Трамп обрав главу нафтової корпорації Exxon Mobil Corp Рекса Тіллерсона, відомого своїми проросійськими заявами, наступним держсекретарем США.
