Колишній президент Європарламенту і новий лідер соціал-демократів Мартін Шульц в разі прямих виборів канцлера ФРН отримав би стільки ж голосів, як і лідер християнських демократів Ангела Меркель.

Про це свідчать дані соціологічного опитування, проведеного на замовлення телеканалу ARD, пише Європейська правда

В разі прямих виборів Шульц і Меркель отримали б по 41% голосів виборців. Порівняно з опитуванням минулого місяця, рейтинг Шульца зріс на 5 пунктів, в той час як Меркель втратила 2 пункти. Зазначимо, що канцлера обирають депутати Бундестагу.

 

Дані опитування також свідчать, що 64% німців позитивно сприйняли новину, що Шульц буде кандидатом в канцлери від СДПН. Лише 14% висловились категорично проти.

Опитування серед членів СДПН засвідчило, що 81% із них підтримують рішення висунути Шульца кандидатом від партії, і тільки 4% висловилися проти.

Нагадаємо, віце-канцлер Німеччини Зігмар Габріель не буде боротися за посаду канцлера і залишить пост лідера Соціал-демократичної партії. Замість нього суперником Ангели Меркель у боротьбі за крісло канцлера буде Мартін Шульц.

Шульц наприкінці минулого року оголосив, що залишає посаду президента Європарламенту, щоб балотуватися восени до Бундестагу і претендувати на посаду канцлера ФРН.
