Собака породы чихуахуа по кличке Фрида на одни сутки стала мэром американского города Сан-Франциско.

По словам представителя департамента по уходу и контролю за животными Сан-Франциско Дебби Кэмпбелл, подобный случай первый в истории города.

Дин Кларк – хозяин Фриды, обожающий «свою девочку», – стал победителем специально организованного аукциона, заплатив пять тысяч долларов. Все вырученные средства пойдут на содержание приютов для животных в городе,пишет Главком

Сообщается, что собака была представлена членам наблюдательного совета Сан-Франциско в здании мэрии города.

После того, как срок полномочий Фриды истечет, ей подарят специальный набор, включающий в себя подстилку, игрушки и подарочную корзину с собачьими деликатесами.
