Телеведущая Ксения Собчак заявила, что хочет превратить предстоящие президентские выборы в «референдум о доверии» действующему главе государства Владимиру Путину. Ее слова приводит «Русская служба Би-би-си» в среду, 1 ноября.

«Люди, которые будут отдавать голос мне, будут голосовать не за меня, а против Путина и его системы. И если таких людей будет много, это может перевернуть ситуацию, это приведет к большим изменениям. Это зависит от того, сколько придет на выборы? — мы можем даже добиться второго тура. Но я не могу добиться этого одна», — сказала Собчак, комментируя цель своего выдвижения.

Телеведущая также отметила, что встречалась с президентом только однажды — во время съемок документального фильма об Анатолии Собчаке. «Моя единственная связь с Путиным — это то, что, когда я была 10-летней девочкой и играла в Nintendo и Super Mario, он работал с отцом», — добавила она.

Собчак также опровергла предположения о том, что ее кампания призвана ослабить позиции оппозиционера Алексея Навального: «Мы преследуем одни и те же цели, просто разными методами».

18 октября телеведущая объявила о намерении претендовать на высший государственный пост. Собчак объяснила, что попытается собой заменить отсутствующую в бюллетенях графу «против всех».

Очередные выборы главы государства пройдут в марте 2018 года, избирательная кампания должна стартовать в декабре.
