В новом обновлении приложения ВКонтакте на платформе Android появилась возможность заходить в соцсеть с территории Украины.

После установки обновления в основных настройках аккаунта можно включить функцию "Использовать Proxy-сервер", и доступ к соцсети будет восстановлен несмотря на блокировку в Украине, пишет Ain.ua. 

В компании подтвердили, что тестировали данную функцию на ограниченном количестве пользователей. 9 июля ее запустили для всех.

Информацию о том, что встроенный прокси доступен всем пользователям на Android, подтвердил представитель ВКонтакте Влад Леготкин. Он также сообщил, что для пользователей iOS такая функция недоступна. "Пока это больше эксперимент, поэтому выкатили только на Android", — пояснил он.

При включенном прокси пользователь получает доступ к новостям, сообщениям, аудиозаписям, причем проигрываются все композиции, в том числе те, что могут быть заблокированы из-за нарушения авторских прав при заходе через VPN с точкой доступа в Европе. Однако загрузка файлов по прежнему не работает. Также при включенном прокси загрузка данных происходит медленнее, чем обычно.
