Сьогодні, 19 жовтня, почалися вибори в Канаді, в ході яких повинен визначитися новий очільник канадського уряду. Всього до державного парламенту буде обрано порядку 338 федеральних депутата. Про це пише РБК.

На роль нового лідера Канади претендують відразу три кандидати: діючий прем'єр-міністр країни Стівен Харпер від Консервативної партії, Тому Малкер від Нової демократичної партії Ліберальна партія на чолі з Джастіном Трюдо. 56-річний Стівен Харпер видається гарантом стабільності Канади, який зуміє вивести країну з початку економічного кризи. При цьому Харпер обіцяє знизити податки, чим і привертає увагу виборців на ці вибори в Канаді.

Згідно з опитуваннями, значна частина виборців до останнього дня передвиборної кампанії не визначилася за кого голосувати.

У неділю лідери всіх партій в останній раз виступили перед виборцями.

Передвиборча кампанія була однією з найдовших в історії Канади. Хоча, згідно з опитуваннями, Ліберальна партія користується більшою популярністю, передбачити результати виборів практично неможливо, так як відрив між трьома основними партіями дуже невеликий.
