Це сталося через те, що вони порахували підвищення зарплати «сміховинним». Переговори з керівництвом банку результату не принесли. Протестувальники зібралися біля штаб-квартири Банку Англії в Сіті. Деякі з них - в масках, на яких зображений керуючий банком Марк Карні.

Наголошується, що це - перший страйк співробітників Банку Англії більш ніж за 50 років.
