У вівторок Сполучені Штати запровадили санкції щодо організацій в Ірані та росії, звинувативши їх у спробах втручатися у вибори США 2024 року, - Reuters

Міністерство фінансів США повідомило, що організації — дочірня компанія Корпусу вартових революції Ірану (КВІР) та організація, пов'язана з російським ГРУ — прагнули розпалити соціально-політичну напругу та впливати на виборців у США.

 

Заступник міністра фінансів США Бредлі Сміт зазначив, що уряди Ірану та росії намагаються розділити американців через цілеспрямовані кампанії дезінформації, і США залишатимуться пильними у захисті демократії.

 

Міністерство фінансів звинуватило Московський Центр геополітичної експертизи (CGE) у поширенні дезінформації про кандидатів на вибори та створенні дипфейків за підтримки ГРУ. Водночас, CGE використовував генеративні інструменти штучного інтелекту для поширення фальшивих новин через мережу веб-сайтів, що маскуються під легітимні новинні джерела.

 

У санкції потрапив також директор CGE. Відзначено, що росія, Іран і Китай представляють зростаючу загрозу для виборчих процесів США, зокрема через використання штучного інтелекту для поширення фейкової інформації.
