Стали известны имена новых ведущих популярной программы Би-би-си Top Gear. Ими станут британский комментатор "Формулы-1", а также основатель и бывший владелец гоночной команды "Джордан" Эдди Джордан, немецкая гонщица Сабина Шмиц, журналист Крис Харрис и телеведущий Рори Рид, пишет ВВС

Программу они будут вести вместе с американским актером, звездой сериала "Друзья" Мэттом Лебланом, об участии которого в проекте стало ивзестнонесколько дней назад, а также известным британским теле- и радиоведущим Крисом Эвансом, который озвучил полный состав ведущих в четверг в эфире радио Би-би-си.

Новые ведущие заменят Джереми Кларксона, Ричарда Хаммонда и Джеймса Мэя. Кларксон был отстранен от работы в марте прошлого года из-за скандала вокруг потасовки с продюсером программы. Хаммонд и Мэй объявили об уходе из шоу вместе с Кларксоном; впоследствии все трое подписали контракт с видеосервисом Amazon Prime.

Новые выпуски программы Top Gear выйдут в эфир в мае. Программа имеет аудиторию в 350 млн телезрителей по всему миру, принося Би-би-си доход в размере 50 млн фунтов (73 млн долларов) в год только от продаж прав на показ передачи за рубежом.
